the tightrope is meant for walking
there is
a tight rope
we all must walk across—
one end
is tied to comfort
& the other is tied
to our dreams.
the point
is not to simply
balance, but
to walk
forward. from one
end to the
other.
being on
the tightrope
is the hardest
part. yet
it’s where many of us
build our homes
we spend entire
lifetimes, balancing
on the tension
between
where we think
we should be &
what
we desire
foundations built on a rope
will waiver
at the gentlest
breeze, yet
again & again
we rebuild.
this tightrope is meant for walking,
not living.
the in-between is meant to be temporary,
not inhabited.
