the present moment
september
the crisp, coolness
has re-entered the shade.
a feeling that has been alive
and dead for centuries
reappears.
a buoyancy awakens
within
we are suddenly
welcomed,
to take up space again.
bodies become free
to expand,
the air thins
the humidity retreats
for a season.
the wind whispers
you can be here now.
it is speaking
to the deeper parts
coaxing them, back
to the surface
as the physical grows dense,
the light rises
again.
