the crisp, coolness
has re-entered the shade.

a feeling that has been alive
and dead for centuries
reappears.

a buoyancy awakens

to expand,

the air thins
the humidity retreats

for a season.
the wind whispers

it is speaking
to the deeper parts

coaxing them, back
to the surface

as the physical grows dense,
the light rises

again.
